Disc of Light peri­od­i­cally works to raise funds for some of our favorite charities.

In our first year, we made a small dona­tion to the Amer­i­can Can­cer Soci­ety for each of our relax­ation CDs sold. This was inspired by my mother-in-law, Fritzie Spaien, who passed away due to breast cancer.

In the Thanks­giv­ing through New Years sea­son of 2009, we were able to donate HALF the price of every retail CD sale dur­ing that period as a fund raiser for the Cys­tic Fibro­sis Foun­da­tion. This is another char­ity we have a per­sonal stake in here at DoL.

We have our next fundraiser in the plan­ning stages, but we have not yet cho­sen a char­ity, although I’m look­ing at Kiva and World Vision’s Give-a-Goat pro­gram. Do you have any thoughts? Drop us a line!
